To maximize the chances of our guests witnessing the Northern Lights during their stay,
and based on our extensive knowledge of Lapland's weather patterns,
we have decided to only accept bookings and embark on aurora hunting tours
if we see a strong possibility of finding a completely clear night sky.
That’s why we recommend booking with us and leaving the rest in our hands.
We monitor the weather daily, and to increase your chances, we can reschedule your tour
based on availability with better conditions or provide a 100% refund.
Additionally, we offer a Money-Back Guarantee: If we head out for the hunt and
the Northern Lights cannot be captured by the camera, you’ll receive a refund.
We will only charge €50 per person to cover operational costs.
In our experience, this is the best practice we can offer our guests
to ensure their time and money are not wasted.
How Aurora Photography Expedition Works:
Duration: from 3 to 10 hr
(tour duration varies based on weather conditions and Northern Lights activity)
Departure: any time between 17:00 - 22:00
Group size: maximum 8 guests
We start the adventure from Rovaniemi, the weather conditions and sometimes the cloud coverage can be unpredictable and may change rapidly within a single day.
We will monitor regional weather conditions and solar wind data throughout the day to determine the best time and location for departure.
We will begin by picking you up from your accommodation or hotel. Once in the vehicle, we will discuss the conditions and inform you of our route and destination for the night.
After a brief orientation, we will drive you away from city lights to a location with the highest probability of seeing the Northern Lights.
In the event of cloudy weather conditions, we will relocate to increase our chances of finding a gap in the clouds to observe the Northern Lights.
If the Northern Lights start to appear, we will remain at the location and let nature's magic unfold, rather than risk missing the chance to witness the magic shown by continuing to drive.
While waiting for the Northern Lights, you can enjoy the tranquility of the Arctic landscape and steaming hot drinks.
Once the lights appear, we'll begin capturing your portrait with the Northern Lights as a backdrop using professional photography equipment.
If you bring your own camera we'll guide you on the best settings to capture this magica phenomenon.

We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 2 days or less before the event
